Holiday Gifts: Handmade Pillows

I have this one friend who is just the loveliest, and since I couldn't decide what to buy her for Christmas, I chose to make her gift ! Not to brag, but I am in love with how these pillows turned out, and I will definitely make a couple for myself with the left-over fabric. She (I'm not using names, because I haven't given them to her yet lol) loves little sweet housewares as much as I do, so choosing the design was very easy! Originally, I was going to take two old photo frames and, with the same fabric and design, create wall art for their new house. However, Value Village wanted to charge me $20 for 2 frames, and I thought that was a bit high.

My question to you all is this: hypothetically speaking, if I were to open an Etsy store and sell pillows like these and other rustic-cute housewares+trinkets, would that be something that you could see yourself buying? I just want some feedback before I spend the last of my money on purchasing some listings !

I have had to get creative with gifts, this Christmas. In the summer I had more money than I knew how to spend.. but apparently I found a way to spend it. I have two more gifts to buy and then I'm broke.. what a terrible feeling. But, I am really happy with all of the gifts that I have purchased, so far ! I am beyond excited to give Brad his gift, since I know he'll love it ! Buying for my dad was simple this year: he just asked me to sew suede elbow-patches onto a cardigan that my late grandfather gave to him. I think it's a wonderful idea, and it barely cost anything ! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. x

  2. Those are fantastic!! i would certainly put these on my etsy wish list!! i'm currently going through a slow decor transformation in my living room and pillows like these would be great unique way to pull two mismatched couches together!

i've had to get creative with xmas gifts this year too! Homemade soup mixes for my aunts, salt and sugar scrubs for cousins and aunts, and homemade hot sauce for my dad and uncles!
